Titan tankless water heater question?

Question: Titan tankless water heater question?

(Posted by: Zippy on 2006-12-16 21:37:45)

Finished installing Titan tankless water tonight and it seems to work fine in all my sinks etc , but in the shower it doesn't seem to be able to keep up? Is there something I can do that anyone knows of or is it just that the water flow is greater in the shower? I have it turned up on high right now and it is drawing the stated 56 AMPS on high ... all sinks run great and HOT, but not the shower? HELP!

Your shower head may be using too much water. Restrict the flow or change the shower head to an energy saving model.

You are correct. in the shower, demand is greater than the supply in a tankless system.

It sounds like you might have to get a flow restrictor from the hardware store. Very cheap. It installs behind the shower head. It's basically a 1/ 2 " disc with a certain size hole in the center & it sits inside the threads of the shower head. The units that I've installed had restrictors included with the hardware. But they weren't Titans... Great luck.
