Question: I have a ng bosch tankless water heater and....?

When the hot and cold water are mixed, if you turn too much cold on, the pressure in the lines that keeps the burners on drops lower than the recommended limit and then the shower turns ice cold. Will a shower head that is designed to increase water pressure also help the pressure coming through the lines so I dont lose the hot water? I know there are units designed to increase water pressure, but from what Ive seen they are somewhat pricey. Any ideas?????

It's volume(flow rate) not pressure that tells the burner to lite. The default temp on these heaters is usually 122(f). our first inclination is usually to set the temp higher. you actually need to lower the temp down to about 110 or so, so that you don't have to add so much cold water which reduces the flow of water thru the burner chamber causing the burner to shut off. If you have a shower valve with a separate temp. control, set it as high as you can, then adjust your shower temp. at the water heater. this sounds crazy, and it will be a process but it works. I had to add a small 6 gal electric tankless under the kitchen sink for hotter water there. Good Luck !! you can Email me if you want.
